the goal was to hit up paper source for...well...paper. if you have not been to a paper source i recommend you find one. if not, their website is pretty freaking awesome.
in addition to paper, i agreed to buy this little finger puppet for my daughter if she behaved. his name is ricky.
my sister-in-law is getting married and yours truly is planning the shower. i'm going on a tangent here, but i need to mention the other most awesomest website in the world, etsy. here, i was able to find a digital invitation for twenty bucks.
the kids LOVED the dinky. the dinky is, for all of you are like "what the heck is she talking about," a connector train that links princeton to princeton junction. isn't it the cutest little train thing you've ever seen?
once we landed in princeton we had a relatively short walk ahead of us to downtown. yes, it was a short walk, but it took foreeever to get there. you would think, a prestigious school like princeton university could come up with money to pay someone to shovel their sidewalks. not only were they slushy, it was uphill. i carried a three year old while pushing a umbrella stroller with one hand. sheesh! good thing i drank my whole cup of coffee this morning.
we got what we needed. grabbed a slice of pizza. and headed back home. my coffee power started wearing off just when both kids began melting down. super.
i have two melting children and a dinky that is one hundred yards away. you had never seen someone run as fast as i did to catch that train. the thought of sitting in the waiting room with people judging me as they scream their heads off gave me more energy than any coffee could.
once we got on-board, they settled down. thank God. really, thank you Jesus...i appreciate it.
am i glad i went? absolutely. will i do it again? probably with backup support or extra fruit gummy snacks.
peace.
